On 19 May 2020, the Indian army cordoned Nawakadal in middle of covid-19 crisis, killing 2 people and injuring many including a 13 year old boy who succumbed to death in hospital few days later.

Indian army did not stop at just killing and injuring innocent but destroyed 15 houses and looted many.
